The Qld dominance marched through the 10s with NSW putting a dent in it halfway and at the backend mounting its own never-say-die challenge that makes Origin remarkable in its unpredictability.

Qld dominates this decade on paper with an emphatic 3-0 series win to open the decade but NSW didn’t let them have it all their way. Qld’s overall margin was 6 games clear and it could have been more but for the tenacity of NSW. No Origin game is a forgone conclusion. 

You can vote with your office or friendly tipping comp or even throw a few dollars on the outcome. Betting is a guessing game.

Origin is played and determined by men with the equal intent of winning, on both sides.

But the dazzling array of stars unearthed in Origin never fails and the admiration for Qld’s depth drew praise from all quarters even the opposition. That’s what makes it even more of a mouth-watering challenge when you’re asked to step up and meet it. These players in this decade can say, “I truly played among the best the game had to offer.”

The Qld backline assembled in any given game in this decade was a sight to behold and it’s said, “You can only play as good as your opposition lets you,” and NSW gave as good as they got.
